Classic Song: Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2

Released on November 30, 1979 as their first single since 1968 and also their only number one hit in many countries including U.K. and the United States, Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2 is without a doubt Pink Floyd's most recognizable song and of course their most commercial one. Part 2? Yeah there are actually 3 parts, all of them taking on a different topic, but they all have the same vibe to it.

If you haven't noticed our background it's clearly inspired by the album from which this classic song comes from: The Wall. I do recommend listening to it, it's one of the best double albums ever, but this song does not resemble the whole album sound. Just a warning.

As I said before this song consist of a more commercial sound than previous Pink Floyd songs, but it does not mean it is a bad song, on contrary, most of the music I like is commercial and "poppy". Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2 has a disco beat which it's what lifts up the whole song, but let's not put aside that Roger Waters distinctive bass line and the sing along chorus, which features a schoolchildren choir. An incredible song that if you haven't listen to it, where have you been living?
